It was another unbalanced 4 on 3 type Regs night yesterday, with the Tallaght players who are going to America - Alan McMahon, David Shiels, Colin McAnaspie and Angela Dwane - to be known as the Explosive Josephs playing against the other 3 players on the night, Conor Farrell, Ger Byrne and Kevin McMahon. And the game was less than encouraging for our representatives, especially considering that I had a particularly "gammy" knee. After that game, and a lot of talk about the land of opportunity, Angela left and Conor stepped down in the lazy way that he does, and Blondie arrived just in time for another 3 on 3 M.O.T.U. vs KY, and probably wishes he didn't. 3 games, and we could have easily had 4 if Liverpool hadn't been playing and Angela had been on time, but such is life. The morale of the story - Quasar is good for you!

Coolock regs night was last night, although there was a noticeable Tallaght invasion with exactly half the players from the southside centre, and we had 3 good games, with John's packs in sound condition - good news with a tournament coming up. Aswell as Graham, it seems that a full Irish team - comprised of Alan McMahon, David Shiels, Colin McAnaspie and Angela Dwane, will be heading to the states for the Atlanta tournament in a couple of weeks time if, of course, they move quickly to get the tickets. In site news, we have 1 new wallpaper [wow!]. Roll on Wednesday..will Conor be going??

Lying scumbag....Regs night saw a couple of 4 on 4 games last night, and one 4 on 3 because Angela hurt her ankle. Other players were Dave, Al and Kevin McMahon, Colin McAnaspie, Ger Byrne, Blondie and Shane McHugh, while Conor was nowhere to be seen. Nor was David Shiels, who was in Tramore, but all in all we had some good games. Anyone else going to America??

It's been a short while, and over the past week I've been making minor updates so that the website is compatible with both Internet Explorer and Netscape 6+, and now it is. In actual Quasar News, talk is of a competition in Coolock (again), this time towards the end of November and overnight. But at the moment nothing has been finalised. Oh and thanks to Hwang, who sent us the picture of the gun board and where to cut the trace, which has resulted in the "fixing" of the Q-Zar guns, meaning that we probably have the full 27 working guns, as opposed to the previous 20 or so. Plus, tonight is regs night, can Conor make it 2 in a row??

More new links: this time to the q-zar newsgroup through google, for people who don't otherwise have access to alt.sport.qzar. Plus links to 2 Russian Q-Zar sites, Q-War lasergames and to Q-Zar Tampa in the US. All new links have a new sign beside them.

I Added a link to the new Quasar Coolock website, Quasar Coolock 2 [chronologically] which was first published today and is run by Ste Martin and Michael O'Connor. The websites address is www.geocities.com/qcoolock, and at the moment there's only profiles and links. Check it out!

Regs night was last night, and once again the games were jam-packed, with 6 players. Al McMahon, Dave Shiels, Angela Dwane, Ger Byrne, Colin McAnaspie and Alan 0' Loughlin played, and ended up getting 5 games of 20 minute duration. After the first 2 "serious" games, then followed a couple of "fun" games, and then an eliminator game won by Al thanks to some dodgy tactics. We're probably due a full moon in a week or 2, so we can safely assume that Conor will be playing next week. Also, how long does a broken arm take to heal?

Tomorrow being a Bank Holiday Monday and all, there is a Monday Regs Morning tomorrow from 10am - til sometime in the early afternoon. The price will vary depending on the amount of people playing, but it should be somewhere between €5 and €8, and we would probably end up having a small 4 - man mini competition. Every Tallaght Reg is welcome, plus some of the Sunday Morning regulars. Happiness is just a "Quasar game" away.

Just finished a small update today, with an all-new Quasar Quiz on the site, and some downloads. The new quiz has 25 questions, a mixture of multiple choice, missing word and true or false questions, and at the end you get a ranking ala on a scoresheet. As for the downloads, there are 2 more Winamp skins, with the Old Quasar Sign, and also 2 small screensavers with are pretty good. Make rocket go now!

Yesterday was Regs Night, and as usual the turnout was less than promising, with 6 people playing, not that the games were that bad. Anyway, the lucky ones were Dave, Al and Kev McMahon, Dave Shiels, Colin McAnaspie and Karl Kelly. I blame the rain.

A new (and old) addition to the Downloads page was made today, in the shape of the stats for the Quasar Tallaght Competition 2001. If you want to downlaod them you'd need MS Excel to view them, and Winzip to unzip the files after downloading. Anyway, there's a new Winamp Skin and a Screensaver on the way. I promise.
